Information Architect’s focus is on creating an organised structure of information within a web application in a way that a user can navigate through it with ease.

User experience design is a process where a product user interacts with a particular product. UX designers focus is on the “human factor”, How a particular product or system is navigated, how it makes the user feel and how easy it is to use. 

The role of a UX designer is to create interactions with a product that is a seamless to use, and also pleasant, efficient and rememberable.

One might easily think that information architecture and user experience design are the same thing, which is false. how they differ is that information architecture is concerned with the structure of content and the navigation while user experience design encompass is much more i.e. UXD focuses on the usability and the overall enjoyment of using a particular interface.

Information architecture focuses on laying out information in an organized Commerce structured manner with clear content labeling in an effective and efficient manner. user experience design focuses on the actual intent action of the user with the product or system.

Information architect’s objective is to create content that is live with a lifecycle, behaviors and attributes. user experience objectives is to create seamless digital environments and products.

Information architecture is deemed a good foundation for creating efficient user experience. information architecture can be seen as the foundation, a skeleton of a design structure which informs the user experience design with basic material to build an interface based on building the mass of the skeleton.
